Reminiscing about my old project, "TDIDWTS"
This is what inspired the Ballroom Dance theme for the 2017 calendar! My love for Total Drama and Dancing With the Stars is what went into creating this crossover "series" that I started it in Middle School! I worked on it for 3 years.
I have the videos Unlisted on youtube since I used quite a bit of content (music & themes) that I didn't have permission for. I also did it at a time where I used a fake name (Susan) on the internet and don't want people to be confused. haha.
But if anyone is interested in seeing the project that made me decide to become involved in the animation / illustration industry - I can send you the link to the playlist!
For now, here is the final episode! :,) I get teary eyed watching it because of how much time, love, and effort went into it! Plus I made life long friends because of it. (You guys know who you are!!)
Ladies and Gentlemen - it has been my dream for several months now to release a book inspired by Swan Lake. With this Kickstarter - that dream can come true!
Katidoodlesmuch Presents: Swan Lake, a fully illustrated story inspired by the famous ballet. The fairytale comes to life through the illustrations and original storytelling of Kati Treu.
However, even a small run (50 books) is a bit too pricey for a one woman show.
So let's make this project a reality with crowdfunding!
A Kickstarter Fundraiser will begin on Monday, July 18th and run for 3 weeks. More info will be found on the kickstarter page once it is launched.
There are 9 tiers of rewards ranging through donations $1 - $200.
Every little bit helps! So do what you can do help make this girl's dream of independently printing a book come true!
Summer vacation is here - and I'm eager to doodle much! Rates are slightly lower because of my extra availability this season.
Email me with questions if you have any, and I hope to work on some fun new doodles soon. <3
12 Fairy Tale Stories.
Mugs, Posters, Pillows, and Tote Bags.
Once upon a time there was a dorky young redhead who loved to doodle. She set off on an adventure to illustrate her favorite fairytales for everyone to enjoy. She researched and became inspired by the original tellings of these stories in order to create accurate illustrations. These drawings lived happily ever after within the pages of a Calendar.
Now your favorite illustrations from the Katidoodlesmuch 2016 Calendar are available on a variety of new products!
All items are fulfilled through Printful!
Purchase any item from this line through June 30th, and you'll be automatically entered to win a free signed copy of the 2016 Calendar.
I love Descendants, so of course I"m totally in LOVE with Dove Cameron's video to Genie in a Bottle! Check it out below!
She covered this Xtina classic PERFECTLY! And I couldn't help but fall in love with her Genie Chic look. I immediately felt inspired to doodle her.
*Sorry the video starts in the middle of the drawing! I didn't even think to start filming until I was pretty far in.*
**I am in no way sponsored or affiliated with Disney Channel. This video was created as a tribute to Dove & Disney and is for my personal enjoyment. Just spreading my love and my art!**

(I really need to post more often....oops!)
It's my spring break! And that means there is just a little over a month left of this semester at MIAD. I can't believe how fast the time has flown by. On March 3rd, I declared my major in Illustration! I can't wait to begin my education in this discipline next year.
Ideally, I would like to use this summer to prepare for the upcoming year. I will be intensely studying photoshop & illustration methods. I will be doing fanart, personal work, and overall just a lot of studies. I can't wait to share them with you all.
Also, please look forward to seeing some of my work from school! After this semester is over, I plan on creating a page in my gallery for my assignments. (for now, you can see some of my school work on Instagram.)
Ideally, I would like to just focus on my art this summer, but I most likely will be picking up a part time job. Even with that, I'm totally willing to take on freelance work. Please check out my commission price guide. Share it around if you want as well.
Many thanks to all of you who have been inquiring about commissions these past few months and thanks for making my 3rd year of $20 Couple Doodles a HUGE success! Check them out in the commission gallery.
Lastly, I am now on tumblr! Give me a follow if you want and be sure to reblog my work. :) I'll be uploading finished work, sketches, commissions, doodles, etc on there.
Thanks for stickin with me!
Tomorrow, 11/26/2015, I will be re-opening my store! Sorry for such a long hiatus, but I've been so busy with college. I hope I will make up for it with all the fun things I'm putting up for sale this weekend.
Most importantly - My 2016 Calendar will be available for Pre-Order starting tomorrow night. (I'm gonna wait until after all the Thanksgiving shenanigans to open up...) The exact time is still TBA, so stay tuned to my Instagram and Twitter for any updates. Or just check back here sometime on Friday for sure! I would wait until Black Friday BUT I'M JUST SO EXCITED! I can't wait!
I will have a 30% off sale going as well in honor of Black Friday weekend lasting 11/26-11/29.
The first 15 pre-orders will receive a FREE handmade "The Art of 2015" minibook featuring all the doodles from the past calendar.
Also, I will have a few prints and posters up for grabs as well.
I'm so excited about getting my shop up and running again. Please note that calendars will not be shipped until after 12/11. All others will ship as soon as possible from the date of purchase.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Sending you all warm hugs and snuggles. Thanks for all the support.
Lots of love,
Hello, friends! Long time, no talk. I hope you are all doing well. I just sent off the first batch of calendars to be printed! I'm so incredibly excited and can't wait to see what you guys think of this project.
My store will be reopening on Black Friday Weekend! So stay tuned for that. The calendars will be available as well as some prints. Of course, with my grand reopening AND Black Friday, there will be tons of extra goodies and deals so be sure to check up on here and my Instagram for more details.
Well, now that I have a few days to relax before planning the Black Friday weekend sales. And by relax - I mean stress out over finals because I"ve been so focused on my calendar that I'm kind of falling behind....oops.
WISH ME LUCK!
Love you all,
Summer is almost over, and that means it's back to school time. However, unlike just about any other year, I'm not dreading going back. This time is different. I'm finally going off to college - and an art school, for that matter! I've never felt more excited to go off to school than ever before.
This year, I hope to learn so much more about my craft, and to excel at everything I do! I hope you all continue to follow me on this journey. <3
Also a BIG Thank You to everyone who ordered from me this summer! I tried to offer some special deals for the summer - and I'm so glad that they were enjoyed by you guys as well!
Here are ALL of the $5 Portrait doodles I created this summer!
Alright, well looks like it's time for me to go back to packing for my dorm! (Ahh!)
Thanks again, for all the continuous support! I can't wait to keep sharing my art with all of you. <3
Hey guys! So OF COURSE, you probably know that SDCC is going on right now. It's that time of year where my social media feeds fill up with all kinds of Nerdy & Geeky wonders. I dream to someday have my own booth at Comic-Con (cause how COOL would that be?!) but for now, I'm stuck doodling at home.
For this weekend only, I'm gonna offer a coupon code in my store in honor of all the lovely artists living my dream at Comic Con! Click on the STORE tab, add one of my pieces to your cart, and then use coupon code KATICON for 25% off all items!
Also my great friend, David Wilson, has uploaded his story "The Strangest Party" to SwoonReads.com. Do him a favor by rating it 5 stars! He could get $15,000 if they choose to publish his book. All you have to do is go to http://www.swoonreads.com/m/the-strangest-party, create a Swoon Reads account, and then rate it 5/5. You don't have to read it, but I recommend that you do! It's a good story. :)
Who is Kati?
I'm a fairy mermaid muppet princess who doodles much. Illustrator by day, Fan Girl by night. My inspiration comes from all things cute and girly, and I love making work that inspires young women.
